My name is Kathi Lester and I am a doctoral student in Health and Human Sciences in the department of Conflict Resolution Studies at Nova Southeastern University. I am conducting a research study examining how women handle interpersonal conflict in the workplace and you are invited to participate in the study if you meet the following criteria:
- At least 26 years of age
- Currently work or have worked in an organizational workplace setting which is defined as a location outside the home where employees do/did interact with each other face-to-face on a daily basis
- Employed in an organizational workplace setting for a minimum of one year
- Within the past 3 years, you have been involved in conflict with another woman within your organization for a duration of at least 3 months
If you agree to participate in the study, it will be an interview process. The interview is anticipated to take no more than 1-1 ½ hours of your time. For accuracy purposes, the interview will be audio-taped provided you approve.
Participation in this study is voluntary. Your identity as a participant will remain confidential during and after the study. We will speak via phone or skype at a mutually agreed upon time that you feel will offer you the best opportunity to share your views and opinions in a safe environment.
Your identity will be protected by utilizing a pseudonym during the interview process.
