Screen Time And Child Development

Greetings! My name is Amanda Sharpe and I am a doctoral student at the University of the Pacific studying educational psychology under the advisory of Dr. Amy Scott Brown. I am attempting to research the relationship between the amount of time parents and children spent on touchscreen devices and the subsequent social emotional development of said children.

This research will be conducted in attempts to inform the development of best practices for screen time usage for young children and to help create clearer guidelines for assessing developmental delays and disorders.

Currently I am interested in examining the development of children between the ages of 48 and 60 months old and if you are the primary caregiver to a child in this age range, I invite you to participate in an online survey where upon completion, you can be entered to win a $100 Amazon gift card. The survey will take about 30 minutes to complete.

If you are interested, please click on the following link to complete the survey: Screen Time and Child Development

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact myself (209) 607-1724 or my advisor, Dr. Amy Scott Brown (209) 946-3276 .

Thank you!
