Invitation To Participate In A Telework Research Study

Hello Everyone,

My name is Deborah Walker, and I am a currently a doctoral student at the University of Phoenix, pursuing a Doctoral of Management degree in Information Systems and Technology.  I am currently working on my dissertation entitled “Exploring Promotional Opportunities for IT Teleworkers" to determine if IT teleworkers perceive that the lack of visibility and communication shortcomings in a teleworking environment affect managers’ decisions about promotions?  The results of this study will help organizations determine whether if these are perceptions or actual practices and develop solutions to address this problem. Therefore, I am looking for individuals who:

• Are at least 18 years of age.
• Work in a Computer/Information Technology (IT) related field.
• Telework, or have teleworked (worked from home) full-time.

If you meet the qualifications to participate in this study, there are two options that you can choose from to participate where you will be asked 14 interview questions about any experiences and perceptions you may have regarding teleworking:

Option 1:  A telephone interview which will be audio recorded and is expected to last less than an hour.

OR

Option 2:  Filling out an online questionnaire which should take less than 30 minutes to complete.
