Africanamerican Women In Healthy Marriages Raised W/o Father
I am a doctoral student at Capella University conducting a research study for my dissertation about Happily married African American women raised without their biological or surrogate fathers. The study’s criteria are purposive and include
- African American females;
- who were raised in the United States or American-Owned territories;
- who were raised solely by their mothers, or female surrogates
- who have experienced fatherlessness (have not socially or emotionally bonded with their biological or surrogate fathers by age 10 years or younger);
- who are now between the ages of 25 and 65 years old, and
- who are currently in healthy marriages that have lasted for 5 or more years.
If you fit these criteria, I need your input (descriptions) about how you developed, managed, and maintained a healthy marriage against such great odds. The audio recorded conferences are being carried out via Skype, Face-Time, etc. To-date, the study interviews have lasted up to 25 minutes. To participate in this study, please contact Salome G. Rowe via email at yboniecomm@bellsouth.net.
