Perceived Risk From Nuclear Power Plants

My name is Adam Abrams and I am a PhD student at Capella University in the School of Public Service Leadership.  I am conducting research on the relationship between adults' parental status, caregiving activation, and trust in government on perceived risk from nuclear power.  The purpose of this research is to see if there are differences in the likelihood of parents and non-parents to self-evacuate during a nuclear power plant emergency.

In order to be included in the study, you must be an adult householder whose primary residence is in one of the ZIP codes centered 10 to 15 miles from a U.S. commercial nuclear power plant; have not received information about nuclear power plant emergency preparedness from a government agency or nuclear power plant operator in the last year (information may have been in the form of pamphlets, calendars, or other printed media); are not a current or former commercial or military nuclear power plant employee or contractor; and at least 18 years of age.
