Video Game Research Study 061620-2
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Shannon Nebeker and I am a doctoral student in the business department at Bellevue University. I am working on my dissertation, under the supervision of Dr. Carolyn Youssef-Morgan. I am writing to you, today, to invite you to participate in a study entitled “The psychological effects of video games.” The study involves a 12-question survey, followed by a period of video game play (one hour per day for three weeks), and concludes with a second 12-question survey. Play time will be tracked, but no performance data will be recorded.
Some demographic information will be requested for the purposes of the study, but no identifying information will be included in the exportation, testing, or analysis of the data collected. Extreme care will be taken to protect any information you provide. All reported data will be kept anonymous.
Of course, you will have the option of terminating your participation at any time. If you choose to withdraw, any personal information you have provided will be destroyed. Your voluntary participation is greatly valued. Although no compensation is provided for this research, those who complete the study will be included in a drawing for several $250 Amazon gift cards and given a free video game. If you are interested, please contact me at the email address below.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you!
